The Dunard Centre is set to become one of Scotland’s most significant cultural landmarks. A state-of-the-art performance venue in the heart of Edinburgh, designed to bring world-class acoustics, cutting-edge technology, and exceptional public space to the city. As part of this landmark project, Cameron Kerr is proud to serve as the retained Building Services Engineering adviser, supporting the Client team in delivering an environment worthy of it’s artistic and civic ambitions.
Our role focuses on ensuring that all environmental and building services systems are designed, coordinated, and delivered to the highest possible standards, and in compliance with the Employers Requirements.
A venue of the Dunard Centre’s ambition depends on extremely carefully considered engineering. From finely controlled ventilation that maintains acoustic integrity and delivers on comfort, electrical systems that support stage technology and audience experience, to resilient plant infrastructure that ensures reliability.
The Dunard Centre brings together renowned architects, acousticians, engineers, and cultural stakeholders. Within this multidisciplinary environment, Cameron Kerr is working closely with the Client to ensure the Employers Requirements are delivered. We will also support the pursuit of opportunities leading to more sustainable outcomes in construction and operation.
Our involvement will be taken through detailed design, project completion, and handover. As the project moves from design through construction and commissioning, Cameron Kerr will work with other project partners on quality and performance testing to ensure the operational success of this extraordinary cultural investment.
